Khmer Transliteration · Last updated: April 12, 2026
Khmer Transliteration is a keyboard app that converts Latin romanization into Khmer script. This policy explains what data is collected and how it is used.
When you submit a new word using the "Add Word" feature, the Latin-to-Khmer word pair is sent to our server. This data is used to improve transliteration accuracy for all users by helping train and refine our transliteration model.
Submitted word pairs contain only the Latin romanization and the Khmer text you entered. We do not collect:
Word submissions are used solely to improve the Khmer transliteration model. They may be reviewed, aggregated, and incorporated into training data. Submissions are not sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
The app requests network access (iOS: Full Access; Android: INTERNET permission) solely to send word submissions you explicitly add via the "Add Word" feature. This access is not used to monitor, record, or transmit any other keystrokes. Normal typing through the keyboard is processed entirely on your device and is never recorded or transmitted.
Submitted word pairs are also stored locally on your device to provide immediate personalized suggestions. This data remains on your device and can be cleared by removing the app.
